Now, things I don't like about iPod Touch

As a picky person as I am, you know for sure that I will have complain on my new iPod Touch sooner or later. This is important because I need to find enough excuse to stop myself from buying unlocked iPhone 3G from Hong Kong. Well, let my ranting starts:
  • How come there's NO WAY (as of this moment) to stop "optimizing photo" when syncing photos from iTune to iPod touch? The "optimization process" makes the JEPG look blurry when zooming in. The worst part is that it makes it hard to read comics pages in JPEG.
  • The soft keyboard is so HARD to use. It's OK for causal typing, but if I serious trying to type more than a paragraph, I better do the typing on a Netbook instead.
  • Draw in iPod Touch sucks, plus I CANNOT use a regular stylus with iPod touch. That also makes writing Chinese character on Touch difficult.
  • The internal speaker of iPod Touch, while works OK, has room to improve.
  • WiFi battery life is kind of terrible. Only 1 to 2 hours of battery life if I keep using WiFi.
Maybe more complain later...

SDHC with Lenovo X60T

Interesting. I just found out that with Windows XP Service Pack 3, my Lenovo X60T already have support for SDHC card. I just ordered a 4Gb SDHC card, so I shall be able to verify whether that's true very soon.

Best way to put eBook in iPod Touch

After playing with iPod Touch for several hours, I found out that the best way to put eBook in iPod Touch is by:

  • Saving you content in either Word or PDF format. Make sure you make the font size huge enough for reading confortably on iPod touch, cause there's NO WAY to change font size once it's on iPod.
  • Use AirSharing to copy the PDF or DOC to iPod.
  • Read.

File copy/move is still sluggish in Vista

I constantly reevaluate Vista and hope that one day I can finally migrated to it, but as always that's something irritated me so much to keep me from moving. Today it's file moving and copying. Comparing with XP, it takes SO MUCH time to copy and/or move files from one drive to another drive. Fix it, or I won't go to Vista.

w.bloggar ... sigh

At first I was very excited about this w.bloggar portable version which suppose to allow me to blog offline. But when I tried this app, I got some XML Parsing error. After struggling for 15 minutes, I gave up. It does not worth my time anyway.

iTune 8 gives me nothing (as a iPod Classic 80Gb user)

I installed iTune 8 and updated the firmware of my iPod Classic 80Gb. Well, nothing seemed to be broken. But at the same time I don't see anything new. The Genie feature on the desktop iTune doesn't seem to be do me any good. (And no I am not buying songs just because the Genie said I should) No new feature was found on my iPod itself.

Lame.
