Y Drive really is dying

After the major crash of the Y drive, which used to host tons of my download, I moved everything important out of it, and only keep the podcast on it.

Today I started to realize that the podcast playback through network was pretty damn shitty.  Buffering kept happening.  At first I thought it was the network, but ultimately, I found out that it is the Y Drive itself.  It is indeed dying.  I should expect that all the podcast in that drive will be gone soon, which honestly, I don't care much.

Clumsy way of "syncing" Portal 2

So I have Portal 2 installed on my DELL M6500 laptop and the Windows 7 of my MacMini since I sometime use my laptop to play the game while other times I want to play it on my MacMini.  The problem comes when I need to continue the level I was playing instead of replaying all the "delta" level between my save game on MacMini and save game on DELL.

I figured out, strangely enough, that on my DELL, the save folder is in "F:\Portal 2\portal2\SAVE\76561201495296321", while on my MacMini it's in "H:\Apps\GamesForWindows\_ Feature\Portal 2\portal2\SAVE\76561198709852266".  Fortunately, the content inside these 2 folder are interchange able. so all I need is copy the content from one folder to another folder, and I can then continue my game.  I also use Mozy to automatically back up the save game on my DELL in case I need it.

So as of this moment, I am the same set of save game at these 2 places.  Wonder where I will proceed to the next level first.
