Defragment system drive

I learned it the hard way last week that after deleteing tons (tens of thousands) of files left over by the previous OS installation, I need to do hard disk defragment on the system partition, or else the machine will be slow like hell.  However I still don't think my machine is back to optimal performance yet., and I am still trying to figure out all the possible reasons and resolutions.

That's what playing Xenogear should be like

Recently I started playing Xenogear on PC with Playstation emulator.  The idea is to actually finish this game since I couldn't finished it back when I was in college.  Now with emulator and PSX Emulation Cheater, I can finally able to finish this game within reasonable amount of time.

To me, I enjoy this game mainly because of the story, but those damn random battle, and segments which gave me no direction forced me to waste tons of time on wandering around.  For the wandering around problem, I solved it by using YouTube walkthru to learn the route to move on, for defeating random battle, I use PSX Emulation cheat.

I was able to give the main character tons of money so I can move on with being stuck as I can keep recovering EP and HP using items I brought.  But when in mech battle, none of my items work and I got frustrated by keep being defeated.  So this is now the PSX Emulator Cheat comes into picture.

Here's what I did:

  • In the middle of running XenoGear on Playstaiton emulator, run PSX Emulation Cheater.
  • Select "[US] Xenogears".
  • For Weltall Codes, select Max HP, Max Fuel.
  • For WellTall-2 Codes, select Max HP, Max Fuel
  • For in Battle Codes - Charcter 1 Codes, select Infinite Health, Infinite EP, Infinite AP.
With that, I can finish all battles in one round, saves me tons of time, and can now focus on the story.
