What the hell is with VMWare Server 2.0 ?

I am really not happy with the new VMWare Server 2.0 mainly because I could not get it working on my main desktop computer at work. I would be even more pissed if I installed it on my main VMWare machine. Thank Goddness I didn't. Still it's very frustrating. Maybe I'll spend some time to figure out what the heck is going on later ... when I am not being tortured by Jet lag ....

Great suit in Hong Kong

My friend in Hong Kong highly recommended getting suit at Zara (they have store at Tsimshatui). Too bad I already brought one at G2000. Maybe next time.

Same gear, different name...

I was impressed by my friend's Canon Ixus 860IS during my Hong Kong trip, especially the 30 seconds timer and 28 mm wide angle. So I tried to buy the same camera, only found out that the exact same camera is called Canon PowerShot SD870IS. In fact, the updated version Canon PowerShot SD880IS has been released. So now I am in the process of researching to see which gear I should get: Canon PowerShot SD880IS (US$266.95 at amazon.com) or SD990IS (US$368.07 at amazon.com).

That HK $30 Car Adcapter for iPhone/iPod Touch is working

During my trip in Hong Kong, I spent HK$30 to buy a Car Adapter for iPhone/iPod Touch . Since I don't have a car in HK, there's no way I can test to see if it works. Today I finally arrived Houston and so I gave this adapter a try. It worked for both my iPod Touch and iPod Classic 80Gb.





But then I also brought a HK $10 USB charge, so I tried and see if I can use a third party USB Sync Cable to charge my iPods using the HK$10 USB chrager. Well, it worked for iPod Touch, but not the iPod Classocs. Very strange indeed.

Wow, my new 4Gb Kingston Class 4 SDHC card works with these devices ...

When I ordered the 4Gb Kingston Class 4 SDHC card, I thought it only works for my Lenovo x60T laptop. It turns out that the card also works with the SD card slot of my DELL 24 inch Ultrasharp display, and my DELL Axim x50v Pocket PC. Hmmm, maybe I don't have to retire the DELL Axim after all....

Oh but Wii doesn't work, and so are my old school SD card readers. So yes, I still need to buy some new card reader that works with my new card.
