Shopping for my DELL x50v

I went to Golden Shopping Center and Wan Chi computer center today for some accessories for my newly brought DELL x50v. Here's my observation.

- Generic sync cable for DELL x50v is over priced! A lot of place selling it at between HK$140 - HK$180. However, I eventually found one selling a shrinkable (so that you don't have to tangle the long cable) charge and sync for $60. They also have the regular kind of cable selling at the same price. I think this is what I called a fair price, and I am still sure that the store makes some nice profit out of this.

- I was thinking of using the 512M Memory Stick Pro Duo my broken Clie NX70V left off (and yes, it's still in the PxxCity store, and still no one seems to know why it's dying) in some useful way. Sony has a Memory Stick Adaptor for CF slot, but it's a bit expansive

So I tried to look around at Golden and Wan Chi, only realized that only ONE adaptor available that takes a memory stick duo, and even that one DOES NOT take a Memory Stick Pro Duo card; only a memory stick duo card works. Besides, the adaptor does NOT has a little edge for you pull the CF card adaptor out once you stick it in the x50v CF card slot. I learned that in the hard way while I was in that store, but fortunately the people in the store managed to yank it out.

- I also found an Eagle CF card adaptor that turns a SD card into a CF card. It's selling at HK$120. I was tempted to buy it but the sales told me that the adaptor doesn't have a little edge either, just like the MS Duo card adaptor. Sigh.
