Continue having problem with my DVD-Recorder and SATA Harddisk

My LG DVD Recorder is gradually dying, and I am looking forward to send it back to the repair place before the warranty expries. At least I know that it's not burning DVD Correctly. And yesterday I found out that it had problem reading DVD Probably. And I mean all sorts of DVDs.

The problematic SATA harddisk was also giving me hardtime. I didn't die all the time, but when it dies it brought down my whole machine. Wicked.
