Extensis Portfoluo 7.0.6.0 - Same old tool, but no other replacement

Don't get me wrong. I really like Extensis Portfolio 7, and the latest version 7.0.6.0 seems to be pretty stable. But I have some serious problem with the slow scanning time. It took more than several hours (sometimes a whole darn day!) to catalog a DVD of photos. On the bright side, I see much less application crash during the catalog process.
