To crack Windows administrator password using Cain & Abel:
- Start Cain & Abel
- Click on cracker tab.
- From left column, select "LM & NTLM Hashes".
- Right click at right side (white area), select "[Add to List ...]
- Take default ("Import Hashes from Local system"), close window.
- Right click on "Administrator". Select [Dictionary attack] -> [LM Hashes]
- For dictionary, add "....\Cain\Wordlists\Wordlist.txt"
- Click [Start] button. And see the fun.
